um... today is Monday...

So, Mom is tutoring Jacob and Dad is tutoring all his current tutees. (Navneet, Asim, and Kanwal - not at the same time) Dad and I just finished working on some math. Need to work a bit more, but he has to tutor for 3 hours now. Jacob rides home with Dad now on Mondays, and we played Need For Speed 2 Hot Pursuit on GameCube for about 30 minutes... when he gets done with the tutoring, we'll prolly play til his mom gets here. Blythe is at physical therapy and will hopefully call soon. She has Girl Scouts tonight.

She called right before she left for physical therapy, and she said she felt quite accomplished. Had done quite a bit of work in English and Biology, and she started her new American History chapter and is actually interested. (It's on WWI and it's kinda new material to her.) She got her report card and is happy with everything... She wants to bring that American History grade up to an A, and though her current grade is great, I understand her longing for an A... So thank God for interesting material to study! She says a lot of her renewed interest in History is due to the book Under God by Michael Tait and tobyMac. History is always more interesting when studied by choice, and from a perspective that you agree with. We talked about books I'm reading. Yes, I did start Under God - yes, I'm only on the 4th section. I'm reading A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle and I'm reading The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis. I love Lewis's works. He is one of the best Christian writers and thinkers of the 20th century. I'm also reading The Magic Never Ends, a biography of C.S. Lewis.
