Well, I quite obviously have let myself down on the posting daily idea. Oh well...

Class is going well... I made a 93% on my first test and a 95% on my first paper, an observation essay. That gives me an A so far. I am currently awaiting my grade on my remembering essay. I really like Mrs. Richardson a lot!

Speaking of class, I have to review the mechanics section of my textbook as well as Chapter 5 of my other textbook over the weekend. I have a test over that on Monday. I'm not really stressed about it.

I took the GED a while back. It went well. I got there and spent my breaks with Jacob and Will. They took it too. I got there a little before it started at like 7:30 or 8. I got done by 3:30. Jacob, Will, and my family went to Pizza Inn for lunch that day.

Jacob and I, along with a guy I haven't met yet named Josh, are planning on forming a band. We are meeting at the church tomorrow evening at 7:00 P.M. to throw out ideas, play some music, and have some fun! I'm really looking forward to meeting Josh... Everyone I've talked to who knows him says he is an excellent guitarist. Jacob will be taking lead vocals. Jacob and Josh will be supplying rhythm and lead guitars (I assume they will each play rhythm *and* lead). I will, of course, be supplying drums and percussion of all types. From what I understand, we will be playing mostly praise and worship type stuff that Jacob and Josh have written. More details on that kind of stuff after we've met and discussed it. The good news is that now that Jacob has his own studio, we will be able to record anything we want. :-) I will be using the Peavey kit from church as much as possible, or at least the piccolo snare. I still love my maple kit of course, but my snare needs some tweaking, as does my kick. I want to add some cymbals and other percussive elements to my kit to add more musicality to my playing. I love effects cymbals, splashes, chimes, cowbells, woodblocks, etc. Please keep percussion in mind when buying me surprise graduation gifts! ;-) Oh yeah, a truck would be appreciated too, of course! :-P (Yeah right! I wish)

One thing I really do want to save up some money for to buy is a nice bass guitar. I think I want a 5 string, but I'm currently undecided on that. I may just get a nice 4 string. I don't know when I'll actually play it in a band, but I REALLY have been longing to play bass as a part of a project.

I am currently reading The Shining by Stephen King. Excellent book! I'm really enjoying it. Highly recommended, though not for those who scare easily!

This evening, we all went to the 3-on-3 basketball tournament at PBJHS. It was AWESOME! All the guys paid $10 a piece to play in the tourney, and all of it goes to charity! Awesome bball! Intense! I tell you what, Shaquille D. is one up-and-coming player we need to keep an eye on! When he hits varsity, it's gonna be great! He has a 3-point shot out of this world. He prolly drained anywhere from ten to fifteen 3's tonight!

Clown conference was wonderful this year! Haleigh and Christy got their first faces... very cool! :-) They had a really good time. I made a new friend, a really nice girl from Dexter named Brittney. Her clown is Lollipop, and they've been clowning for like 4 years. Her dad owns Hickory Log! Anyway, she's really sweet. We've talked on messenger and on the phone some quite a bit since I met her at clown conference.

Mom, Dad, and I watched some Pink Panther cartoons on DVD earlier until Mom and Dad started dozing... now he's on the desktop looking at the pix from the bball tourney. Mom finally finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix tonight. We don't have book 6 yet. She is now reading Eragon finally!

Anyway, that's all for now. I'll think of more as soon as I hit post. :-) lol
