Long overdue update

Well, where to begin? Life has changed some since my last post. Some things in life have ended and that has caused a hesitancy to write. While certain doors of life close, and phases and seasons of life end, God always opens new doors and sends fresh experiences to us to make life exciting. For example, starting this Thursday, I will be attending Three Rivers Community College part time during my senior year of high school. This will be very helpful as I will be getting accustomed to the college setting while still at home. I plan to attend Three Rivers full time next year after graduating from my 12th grade year of homeschooling. After two years at TRCC, all my credits will then transfer to Arkansas State University.

I have been spending time strengthening and building better relationships with my friends, something which makes me very happy. My closest friends are always there to support me and are true, loving, Christian friends and examples. I also anticipate meeting new people at college, and hope to make good, true friends there who are on the same page as me, something I find difficult in today's world.

On to somewhat less serious subjects, as I cannot stand to be serious for very long! :-)

In Cape the other day, I picked up a truly awesome little surround sound system, the Logitech X-530's. They sound wonderful, and REALLY put out the sound for their size and price... I must say I am truly amazed at how good they sound - and the awesome thing is they are under $60 at Sam's Club. That day I also got a couple of video games at Goodwill... Mickey's Mousecapade for NES and Battletoads/Double Dragon for Genesis... got good deals on those... also picked up a nice steering wheel for N64, something I've been wanting for a while... That ran me $10.

Tonight was orientation at Jr. High... I have a good friend, Haleigh S., going into 7th grade, so I went around to her classes with her and her parents... I also met a very nice new teacher whom Dad is mentoring, Mr. Rowland.

I was involved with the full week of MAD/Adam camp for the first time last month... It was really a great experience, and I can't wait 'til next year. It was really cool how well the musical came together in under a week, and the performances were excellent. I played drums... I met some great people there and spent time with a few friends from the Mid-Winter retreat, including Adam S., Melissa, Ben C, and others... Among adults I was really blessed to be with again were Don, Steve, Jim, and (of course) Gail... :-)

I am currently re-reading Eragon, the first book in the Inheritance trilogy by Christopher Paolini. I am a HUGE fan of this book, trilogy, and author. Eragon's sequel, Eldest is coming out in 8 days, on the 23rd. I will be making a purchase as soon as I can get to the store! :-) This author and his books come highly recommended by me.

Well, another update complete, and hopefully with this update I have gotten over my hesitancy to update more... Will write again soon... By the way, check out my new website!! It is definitely still under major construction, but I will also try to stop procrastinating on that project.
